Robert A. Lieberman
Mr. Lieberman represents management in the field of labor relations and employment law. He practices before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, state wage and hour divisions, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Missouri Commission on Human Rights, and the Kansas City, Missouri Human Relations Department. Mr. Lieberman's extensive experience also includes service as a labor attorney with the National Labor Relations Board.
Employment Litigation. Representing management, Mr. Lieberman defends employers against discrimination claims (age, disability, race, religion, and sex), retaliation claims, and harassment claims and advises employers when they plan for layoffs and reductions in force.
Unionization Matters. Also representing management, Mr. Lieberman defends employers against union organizing campaigns and unfair labor practice charges and wage and hour complaints. He (1) helps employers develop strategic positions relevant to union-inspired matters, labor contracts, strikes, lockouts, and picketing, and (2) represents employers in (a) negotiating labor contracts and contract renewals as well as (b) administering grievances and arbitrations arising from such contracts.

Mr. Lieberman has engaged in on-air spring and fall fund-raising and membership drive efforts for KCUR, Kansas City's Public Radio Station, for many years. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Georgetown University Club of Kansas City and a former president of the Brookside Soccer Club. He serves on the Board andis a Vice President of Jewish Family Services and has been active in leadership roles at The Temple, Congregation B'nai Jehudah. He served as a Captain on active duty in the United States Army.
