Jonathan A. Margolies
Mr. Margolies has been engaged in practice for over 25 years with primary emphasis on a broad spectrum of commercial law and financial services, including debtor-creditor relations, corporate bankruptcies and workouts, secured transactions, loan documentation, banking enforcement, business litigation, acquisitions, and appellate practice. He represents numerous institutional lenders, including banks, insurance companies, and pension plans as well as middle-market businesses. His litigation practice encompasses both state and federal courts as well as bankruptcy courts throughout the country.
Mr. Margolies’ financial services practice has involved representation of many leading banks in the Kansas City area. His institutional representation also extends to national and international lenders.
In the corporate bankruptcy arena, Mr. Margolies’ practice encompasses the full gamut of business and consumer issues during his representation of secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, and governmental agencies. Mr. Margolies has participated in the largest corporate bankruptcies in the Kansas City metropolitan area, including Trilogy Development, Crescent Oil, Farmland Industries, Payless Cashways, Franklin Savings Corporation, AcoustiSeal, Dickinson Theatres, Kroh Brothers, and Grant Industries.
Financial Services. Representation of institutional lenders and middle-market businesses on a full range of financial issues, including debtor-creditor law, loan documentation and enforcement, workouts, debt restructuring and refinancing, litigation, and creditor remedies.
