Kristie Remster Orme

Ms. Orme practices in all areas of civil litigation, but she focuses on complex commercial litigation. She represents individuals and business clients from the private sector as well as governmental agencies in complex contract, antitrust, and other commercial disputes nationwide. She is a former assistant attorney general and represents businesses and individuals responding to inquiries and investigations by governmental agencies or regulators.
Ms. Orme has extensive litigation experience in the state courts of Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa, in federal courts across the nation, including the Bankruptcy Courts of both Missouri and Kansas, and before arbitration panels. She also has extensive appellate experience in both state and federal courts.
Business Litigation. Lead attorney handling complex contract disputes, tax matters, real estate matters, RICO claims, alter ego/successor liability claims, misappropriation of trade secrets claims, and other business tort claims, including but not limited to claims for tortious interference, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, and malicious prosecution.
Antitrust Litigation. Lead attorney representing individuals and businesses in the private sector and governmental entities involving cases alleging antitrust violations.
Regulatory. Representation and advice to individuals and businesses responding to inquiries and investigations by governmental agencies and regulators; lead attorney handling related litigation.
Construction Litigation. Representation of individuals and businesses involved in construction disputes; lead attorney handling related litigation.
Taxation. Representation of taxpayers in litigation in the United States Tax Court and United States District Courts.

Ms. Orme is an assistant Cub Scout den leader and pack committee member for Pack 3136 in Lenexa, Kansas. She also is active in the Sunflower Elementary School PTA, previously serving on the PTA Board.
