John Mueller's legal practice and experience span many areas of civil law.  His primary focus has been on representation of businesses of all sizes, both for-profit and nonprofit, across the many practice areas encountered by these clients.  He also represents individuals in personal and business matters, personal injury actions and contract claims.

Mr. Mueller represents business entities in choice of entity, contracts, capitalization, loan applications, acquisitions, sales of businesses, employment agreements, non-competition agreements, and succession planning.

Mr. Mueller also defends local, regional, and national business clients as they develop and implement fair employment practices, defend those practices in various forums, and resolve employment problems and issues at employer workplaces. Mr. Mueller also represents select employees in workers' compensation claims against Missouri employers.

Mr. Mueller handles elder law issues, including wealth management, durable powers of attorney, advance directives, estate planning, guardianships, and conservatorships.  He represents clients in the preparation of trusts and wills, and in the transfer of wealth from generation to generation, including representation of trust beneficiaries in receiving, managing, and growing family wealth; represents legal representatives and those serving under durable powers of attorney in managing the affairs of others.

Mr. Mueller represents clients in tax planning, tax disputes, and issues concerning tax-exempt entities.

Mr. Mueller represents farmers and ranchers in the acquisition and development of their enterprises and lands, and in land use, zoning, natural resources and condemnation controversies.
