For more than 25 years, Kristie Orme has helped business clients manage, develop and negotiate their business, banking, financial, commercial, real estate, and employment deals and agreements while trying to avoid risks and lawsuits. When the unfortunate dispute or claim arises, she makes it a priority to work with clients to develop early litigation and/or dispute resolution strategies designed to maximize results while minimizing costs.

Kristie considers herself a strong, supportive and strategic partner for her business clients. She will immerse herself in your business and industry to learn as much as possible about your business needs and how to best support and protect your business. Her experience in the courtroom and in negotiating agreements allows her to advise business clients how to avoid the types of risks and disputes that have led others into the courtroom and then, to prepare for a lawsuit or trial if and when the need arises.

She is an experienced trial, banking, and business lawyer. She assists individuals, business owners and business entities, insurance companies, as well as governmental agencies, in banking, lender liability, contract, antitrust, tax, real estate, RICO, alter ego/successor liability, business torts, defamation, malicious prosecution/abuse of process, employment and other commercial disputes in both state and federal court in the Kansas City metropolitan area (including but not limited to Jackson County, Clay County, Platte County, Cass County, Johnson County, Wyandotte County, and Douglas County), statewide across Missouri, Kansas and Iowa, and nationwide. She also represents both banks and borrowers with loan documentation and loan enforcement workout and litigation matters. She is a former assistant attorney general and also represents businesses and individuals responding to regulatory inquiries and investigations by governmental agencies.
