Associate Attorney - Litigation

Family Law Legal Assistant

McDowell Rice is looking for an experienced FT Legal Assistant to join our Family Law practice team. You will be part of a practice group of four attorneys and a Paralegal. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who is able to work independently, but also as a team player. This person will have at least 3-5 years of experience and/or an Associate degree or higher.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: time entry for attorneys, creating forms, managing attorneys’ calendars and providing clerical, administrative and organizational support to multiple attorneys, assisting with and maintaining court filings, document scanning, pre-screening for initial client consultations, and docketing. Additional skills required are proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; professional and empathetic; focused and detail-oriented; experience with family law preferred, but not required.

The hours for this position are 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Benefits included are:
